At Sierra Living Concepts, your privacy is a top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website, www.sierralivingconcepts.com. This policy is tailored to our operations in the United States and Canada, and also includes information for global visitors where applicable.
By using our website or sharing your information with us, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.
We offer convenient sign-up and sign-in options using third-party providers such as Apple and Google. When you choose to create or log into your Sierra Living Concepts account through one of these platforms, we receive limited profile information from the respective provider, strictly as permitted by your consent.
To learn more about how these providers handle your personal data, please review their respective privacy policies:
We do not sell your personal information for money. With your choices (see Sections 4 and 7), we may share certain device/browsing data with advertising and analytics partners for targeted advertising or performance insights.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our website. Some cookies are strictly necessary, while others (Analytics, Performance, Advertisement) are optional.
Consent Management Platform (CMP): CookieYes. We use CookieYes to display consent banners, collect and honor your choices, store consent logs, and provide a persistent “Cookie Settings” control (typically available in our site footer or via your browser’s consent icon).
| Jurisdiction | Interactive Banner (Opt-in Style) | Permanent Footer Link (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” or similar) | Why? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Canada | Enable | Enable | Canadian law (PIPEDA) expects express, opt-in consent before non-essential tracking/advertising cookies are set. The banner is required so the user can take a positive action. |
| California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia | Enable | Enable | These state laws require a clear way to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” or targeted advertising. The banner provides notice at collection and initial choice; the footer link is the permanent opt-out. |
| Rest of the United States | Disable | Enable | No specific mandate requires a banner; the footer opt-out link is provided for consistency, user trust, and future-proofing. |
Default Cookie Behavior. In jurisdictions where the banner is enabled, optional cookies (Analytics/Performance/Advertisement) are off until you opt in via the banner or Cookie Settings. Where the banner is disabled (rest of U.S.), optional cookies may be active unless and until you opt out via the footer link or the Cookie Settings control.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) / Universal Opt-Out Signals. Where required by law, we treat a valid GPC (or similar) browser signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising/“sharing,” and we adjust optional cookies accordingly. If you have set GPC, you do not need to also use the footer link—though you may do so to confirm your settings.
How to Change Your Choices. Use the persistent footer link titled “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” and/or the “Cookie Settings” control at any time to review or change preferences.
Consent Records. Our CMP stores a record of your consent status (including timestamp, region, categories chosen) to demonstrate compliance. We retain consent logs as long as necessary to comply with applicable laws and our retention policies (typically 12–24 months).
Cookie Disclosure. For a current list of cookie categories and partners, see our Cookie Policy (or open “Cookie Settings” in the footer).
Sierra Living Concepts is based in the United States. If you are in Canada or other regions, your data will be stored and processed in the U.S. By using our site, you consent to this transfer. For EU/UK visitors, see Section 8a regarding transfer mechanisms.
We implement reasonable safeguards (including SSL/TLS encryption in transit) to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Retention: We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. Typical examples include: order/transaction records (up to 7 years for tax/accounting); customer service and warranty records (up to 5 years after last interaction); cookie/analytics data (generally 13–26 months, depending on your settings).
If a data breach occurs, we will notify affected individuals as required by law, describing the breach, data involved, steps taken, and protective measures you can take.
If you are a resident of states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have the following rights:
Email [email protected] or call 1-866-864-8488. We will verify your identity using information reasonably related to your account or transaction history (we may request additional information to complete verification). You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf; we will require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
Use the global footer link titled “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” to opt out of targeted advertising/“sharing.” Where required, we honor GPC or similar browser signals as an opt-out request.
If we deny your request, you may appeal using the instructions provided in our response. We will respond to appeals within 45 days (or as required by applicable law).
